Origination

A digital origination process that ends with a decision your team made.

Origination

Files move themselves forward. The decision stays yours.

Your borrower applies, the file assembles itself, and your criteria route it stage to stage. Sweet takes the chasing and the typing. The credit call is made by your loan officer, every time.

A site visit ends with a submitted file.

The file assembles itself. Nothing typed twice.

Your criteria do the routing: versioned, yours. Your examiners see the rule that was in force, not today’s.

Sweet stops here. A person decides. The file never advances past approval on its own.

  1. A loan officer and a borrower fill the application together. A smart form that asks only what this deal requires.
  2. The loan file assembles itself: application signed, documents validated, data extracted.
  3. The institution’s own criteria (eligibility, pricing, scorecard) route the file across the pipeline into approval automatically.
  4. At approval the file stops in front of a loan officer. Approve and decline are buttons a person presses; the file never advances past approval on its own.

Origination is where your week goes. Sweet takes the part of it that is document chasing, data entry and status email, and leaves you the part that is credit. Your borrower applies, the file assembles itself, your criteria route it, and your loan officer decides.

Smart document management

Smart forms request only the documents this deal requires, based on what is already known about the borrower and the collateral, your institution's requirements, and the program and size of the loan. Everyone on the deal can upload securely from a phone camera, a laptop or a tablet, which matters when the balance sheet lives in a filing cabinet in an office.

What changes for your team

  • Your first document request is the right one, because the form asks for what this borrower, this collateral and this program actually require.
  • Your loan officers can start, pre-fill and co-browse an application live, so a site visit ends with a submitted file instead of a to-do list.
  • Your underwriting criteria are versioned and back-testable. Your examiners see the rule that was in force, not today's.
  • Eligibility, pricing and scorecards are no-code and yours. Keep them internal to the loan officer, or push the data to your own decision engine instead.
  • Multi-entity and multi-guarantor structures run in parallel rather than in series. Co-applicants see each other's status without seeing each other's data.
  • Documentation is produced and checked against the rules you lend under, and works alongside your existing disclosure vendors where you need it to.

Where it stops

Sweet is strong on standard commercial loans and configurable calculations. It is not a full Excel replacement for your very largest and most complex deals, and custom LTV and DSCR logic is built out with you during a pilot rather than promised in a slide. You should know that before you buy, not after. See the Origination FAQ.
